When a critical incident changes lives in an instant, the people who respond need support too. As a SWOCISM volunteer, you'll stand beside first responders, healthcare professionals, educators, and others in the helping professions during some of the most challenging moments of their careers.
Serving on our team is an opportunity to give back to those who dedicate their lives to serving others. You'll become part of a trusted network of compassionate professionals committed to restoring hope, resilience, and connection when it matters most. The relationships you build, the lives you touch, and the difference you make often extend far beyond a single intervention.
SWOCISM welcomes applicants from public safety, emergency communications, healthcare, education, chaplaincy, mental health, and related professions. Every applicant completes a membership review process, and team members receive International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF) approved training, including Individual Crisis Intervention and Peer Support and Group Crisis Intervention, before participating in interventions.
If you're looking for a meaningful way to use your experience, support your peers, and strengthen the communities you serve, we invite you to apply and join our team.
